Calf Moose Shot And Abandoned Near Ignace

Public assistance is needed to find those responsible for killing and leaving a moose in the Ignace area.

Someone from the public notified the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry last Wednesday of a dead calf moose found about 400-metres south of Silver Dollar on Highway 599.

An investigation determined the animal was shot and abandoned.

Bull Moose Killed And Abandoned North Of Sioux Lookout

Public help is needed to find those responsible for shooting and abandoning a moose north of Sioux Lookout.

Conservation officers were contacted October 8th of a dead bull moose along Race Lake Road.

Officials say this is the second moose that has been abandoned in that immediate area in the past two years.

A cow moose was shot and left about 150-metres north of the same location in the fall of 2016.
