Peel Police arrest Milton man in connection with sexual assaults on GO Train

Mizanur Rahman, a 43-year-old from Milton, was arrested on Monday, April 1. He was released on a promise to appear the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, where he will answer to the sexual assault charges on Monday, May 6.

The Milton man is facing five counts of sexual assault in connection to a series of incidents that were reported from five women, including four from Mississauga, who were travelling on the GO Train between June, 2018 and February.

Peel Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit and Metrolinx have been working on a joint investigation into five separate sexual assault incidents between June 17, 2018 and Feb. 14.

Four of the victims were women from Mississauga while the fifth is from Milton. They were between the ages of 20 and 41 and were travelling between Union and Milton stations when they were assaulted, according to police. None of them reported any injuries or required medical assistance.
