Justice Michael Dambrot said Simeon Harty, 25, was convicted last month of second-degree murder in the Oct. 27, 2016 fatal shooting of Kevin Gidden, 23, and discharging a firearm at Gidden’s pal Kemar McFarlane.

Harty is automatically serving a life sentence but Dambrot had to impose his parole ineligibility period of between at least 10 and 25 years.
