Justin Trudeau doesn’t think the normal rules of society apply to him.
And why should they?
He’s not only the prime minister, he’s the son of the prime minister. Justin Trudeau is Laurentian Elite royalty.
That he thinks he can be caught wearing blackface three times and not pay the same political penalty as any other politician is not surprising.
“I am deeply sorry and I apologize,” Trudeau said at a news conference in Winnipeg.
Asked repeatedly how many times he may have donned blackface, Trudeau struggled to answer the first few times he was asked before admitting that he just couldn’t say.
“I am weary of being definitive about this because the recent pictures that came out, I had not remembered,” Trudeau said.
Who dresses up in blackface so often that they can’t really remember?
Note: right hand on woman’s chest… This is appropriate how or when?
Any other candidate would be run out of politics — Trudeau thinks he can survive this and every other controversy that comes his way.
And why shouldn’t he think that after getting a free pass on SNC-Lavalin, the Aga Khan vacation and the Kokanee Grope.
“There is no context in which someone doesn’t have responsibility for things they’ve done in the past,” Trudeau told CBC in January 2018.
