Progressive Conservative presidential runner-up sues party, alleges ‘ballot stuffing’

The runner-up in the race for president of Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives is suing the party for $100,000 in damages for allegedly rigging the contest.

In a statement of claim filed Wednesday with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Tory activist Jim Karahalios claims more than 300 ballots were counted in the election last November that had not been cast by eligible voters.
