Calgary woman appears on Jeopardy, the show that helped her learn English

Growing up as a newcomer to Canada, Kristyna Ng learned the English language when she tuned in to Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Moving to Victoria, B.C., from southern China shortly after first grade in 1989, Ng picked up basic spelling by watching Wheel of Fortune and learned sentence structure, questions and North American culture by never missing an episode of Jeopardy.

Now, the Calgarian will make her own game show debut on Tuesday’s episode of Jeopardy on YES TV in its 36th season.
