Bloc Quebecois votes for the Liberals instead of voting for Quebecers», according to Pierre Poilievre

 

Bloc Quebecois (BQ) leader, Mr. Blanchet, «keeps in power the most expensive and centralizing prime minister in our history», says the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Mr. Poilievre.

If the motion passed in the House of Commons, the federal election could have been called as early as next week.

The NDP also voted against it.

«There will be no discount at Pierre Poilievre», Yves-Francois Blanchet mentioned at a press briefing in Ottawa on Wednesday.

«Replacing the viper with the tarantula, or the opposite, does not serve Quebecers», he added.

According to Poilievre, the voters of the BQ would be disappointed with the decision of Mr. Blanchet on the refusal of the motion of the Conservatives, including those who voted for him Monday in the riding of LaSalle—Emard—Verdun, in Montreal.

Elections could be called before the holiday season if the Bloc changes its position, according to Mr. Poilievre.

«I do not want the Bloc to take power, I want a chance to convince Canadians, including Quebecers», he said.

In the House of Commons, Liberal Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne affirmed that the decision of the BQ is a «good thing».

«This is not me that is relieved, I think that it is the whole country. People want stability», he added.
