Kathleen Wynne is very proud of herself over OHIP+.
Luckily for her, it’ll be a while before people realize what a massive boondoggle it is.
She’s paying for prescriptions for everyone under 25 in the province — a service half of them didn’t need.
They were already covered through a workplace drug plan, whether their own or their parents’ insurance.
Let’s cut to the chase. Somewhere between $200 million and $500 million of your dollars will be wasted via OHIP+.
Worse yet, OHIP+ is already proving to be a bureaucratic nightmare for kids with serious illnesses who need specialized drugs. And kids with really rare diseases may be out of luck entirely.
Wynne can play all tough and fiscally conservative when she is facing the loss of just a handful of votes, i.e., this girl’s and her family’s. What an opportunistic b*tch.
Wynne makes me sick. If this poor kid was transgender she’d be at the front of the line for treatment.
