Mississauga restaurant bombing victims to hold news conference this morning

Victims of an explosion at an Indian restaurant in Mississauga in May will be updating the public Tuesday morning to discuss the latest updates in the case and their upcoming “plan of action.”

Three peoplewere rushed to Sunnybrook hospital in critical condition after the May 24 blast at the popular Bombay Bhel restaurant. It also left 12 others with minor or superficial injuries. All have since been released from hospital.

Peel Region police continue to look for two suspects wanted for detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) at about 10:30 p.m. inside the restaurant, which had about 40 people inside. Two groups were celebrating birthday parties when the bomb went off.

Police have not released a motive for the attack.
