Fully 43 per cent of Millennials reported that a friend’s enthusiasm for Hawaiian pizza would be an issue.
The Hawaiian pizza is generally agreed to have been invented in 1962 by Chatham, Ont. pizzeria owner Sam Panopoulos, who died just last year at age 82.
It’s among a long list of Canadian food innovations that carry the names of other places. Boston Pizza, Edo Japan and the California roll were similarly Canadian creations.
