Former justice minister and attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould will testify at a hearing of the House of Commons’ justice committee this afternoon about allegations she was inappropriately pressured to prevent Montreal-based company SNC-Lavalin from being prosecuted in a bribery case. While it has been more than two weeks since the Globe and Mail reported the allegations, this is expected to be Wilson-Raybould’s first substantial public statement on the matter. Her testimony is likely to offer her perspective on four key conversations late last year that involved the clerk of the privy council, senior staff from the Prime Minister’s Office and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself.
We’ll update this post in real-time, breaking out what Wilson-Raybould says about the key moments in the SNC-Lavalin affair.

Remember this song? Here’s the lyrics….
Whether I’m never right and everyday wrong
Whether I’m not smart enough to remember how to do up my fly
I gotta be me
What other asshole could I be other than the asshole I truly am
I gotta be me
Who else could I be but what I am
