Yeah I know it’s summer… but even old rockers from Crowbar have a soft spot. Kelly Jay from a few years back on a tv special….
Only one of the greatest tunes ever by one of the greatest rock bands ever! Good gawd almighty, they just don’t music like this anymore (and haven’t for years)! The awesome lyrics, the voice (Gillan had a legit three octave range – even Pavarotti was blown away by him!), the incredible instrumentals – it has it all! Rock just does not get better than this (yes, including Stairway to Heaven …which is a close second though!).

A guilty pleasure of mine – Kate Bush, cool tunes, beautiful voice. Here is one my fave tunes of hers. You might spot a famous Canadian actor in the vid!

A rare “actual video” by Black Sabbath (with Ian Gillan handling vocals in place of the departed Ozzy, followed by the departed, Dio). It actually got a lot of airplay on MTV – which at the time was dominated by new wave crapola. Another little known factoid: Guns N’ Roses ripped off the riff form this tune for their tune, Paradise City (played at a different time signature, and with a few chord changes – so hard to pick out, but it is there if you listen carefully! Slash has admitted it).

Is Rip back? Or is it just you, Frink, taking over the reigns until he’s back?
