The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, the largest teachers’ union in Ontario with 83,000 members, released the result of its strike vote Friday morning.
More than a week ago the London wing of the union voted 97 per cent in favour of a strike, a move designed to give more leverage to the union during negotiations.
The main issues at the central table for OSSTF are class size and e-learning.
So far the only union that has a tentative deal is the Canadian Union of Public Employees representing educational assistants, custodians and office staff.
