I know it means little but what you’ve mention toward it others had the same issues. In addition to Sleepers help if nothing else you could do a thread at DD and Kieran can help in ways i’m sure. He has done so for friends with these same issues toward WP and the plugins/cache and all. Good luck.

Don’t know it. In a decade i have seen more than a dozen blogs that wished to move beyond the platform. They were all complete junk, clunky, and so irritating to navigate that most including would simply leave. Obviously this spot will require fine tuning but impressed out of the gate already. Just an observation.
Had to disable the jetpack site accelerator as it is messing with the images. Will troubleshoot. Disqus login now working after I reset the callback url to the new domain setting.
Testing. I noticed the upload limit is 2 mb. That would rule out most any gif i use. The limit was under 5mb on Disqus. Perhaps the black background in the future? It seems fluid with no lag toward typing. Just checking it now. Onyx.

I’ll post a How It Works thread once I get everything running smoothly (not even close at this point) to explain the following in more detail. Here’s a summary: although you log in with your Discus credentials, that just enables you to log into to the new commenting engine (which is named wpDiscuz). You can log in using Disqus, WordPress, Google, X, Facebook, etc. Ultimately, once you log in, you are commenting using the WordPress database. As such, you will not receive notifications from Disqus anymore, since the comments are no longer stored on the Disqus servers (and therefore not subject to Disqus scrutiny).
